Absolutely the most fun book that I have ever read. There are not a lot of books that I laugh out loud at, with authentic laughter that is. I have read some books that make me laugh we shock….due to the insane words that are written.
Don’t forget your towel!
This would be one of those stories I wish I could forget. That way I wouldn’t know why everyone needs towels or the reason not to listen to Vogon poetry….or what a Vogon is exactly.
If you have been living under a rock and don’t know, the story follows Arthur Dent, an ordinary human who is unexpectedly swept off Earth just moments before its destruction to make way for a galactic bypass. Arthur is rescued by Ford Prefect, a researcher for the titular “Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy,” a fictional electronic guidebook filled with humorous and sometimes nonsensical entries about the universe.
The series is known for its blend of science fiction, satire, and wit. Adams’ writing is characterized by its dry humor, witty wordplay, and imaginative concepts. The story often tackles philosophical questions and absurd situations while poking fun at bureaucracy, technology, and the absurdity of life.
I will admit that I do have the entire series, however, have not read them. I will fix that…..hoping that they are as awesome as the first.
